Lovely! I'm a regular on the Heritage Homes tour in New Westminster, partially for the homes, and most definitely for the gardens. There's something about a classic!
@Laura, there are some really lovely homes around here. I'm a fan of more modern construction but really appreciate some of the old craftsman style buildings. The area is north of Hastings and west of Renfrew.
@It is gorgeous. Golden Chain Tree (Laburnum watereri). There are several varieties and some are nowhere near as nice but there are a few of these mature ones here and the blooms last about a month.

ReplyDeleteThat tree is to die for.

Beautiful! I love old homes. So what would this one go for, seven digits?
ReplyDeleteQuite expensive. The average low end is around 700, 000 in the area. Some random homes up to about 1.4M. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful house - and very close to where I live. I do love this area even if we are all house poor for it.
ReplyDeleteLovely home, but the neighbors need to scooch over and acre or two.

@Stevie, it's a really nice area. We go for a walk around there at least once a week.
ReplyDelete@Randy, by Vancouver standards these people have 20 acres.
