Moss
This tray was originally planted with Moreton Bay Fig (Ficus macrophylla) seeds. The seeds never sprouted. At least after three months a have a lovely, lush lawn of moss! It's quite nice actually. I've been watering it regularly and have grown quite fond of it. It has a clear lid, but I removed it for the photo. Sometimes failures in one area can lead to triumphs in others. :)

hey, your moss tray looks awesome! I really want to get into growing moss for terrariums, where did you get the seeds?
ReplyDeleteMoss actually grows from spores. I didn't plant it, it just ended up sprouting! I'd recommend going to garden centres and looking for most growing in random cracks. Ask if you can take a little and that should get things started quicker than just waiting.
