Succulents

Here's a slightly overgrown succulent pot.  It was basic clay so I painted it to make it more interesting.  They've been in there for about a year and I always forget to water them so growth is slow.  I wrote my steel design exam this morning so only two more!

  2. Thanks! Yeah I think succulents look better overgrown. Steel design is probably one of the best ways to spend your time. Better than a bowl of ice cream or stroll through a garden. Or maybe not...

  3. It all looks very healthy. What sort of paint did you use? I like that the texture of the pot still comes through but the more subdued tones make the plants the focus.

  4. It was just some left over acrylic paint (small hobby bottles). I think purchased at Walmart. We put it on very thinly and then sprayed a bit of clear lacquer. I've noticed that with clay too. Sometimes the colour of the pot just draws your attention away from the plants.
